ISA internship abroad programs are intentionally designed to support your career development while providing a meaningful personal and professional experience. Choose from an array of international internship placements that align with your career interests in Asia, Europe, the Pacific, South America, or remotely. ISA Internship programs are designed for maximum accessibility, with both in-person and remote options, low-cost programs, and US-based opportunities. Program Overview ISA International Internships are Designed to Include: Quality Placements Whether you choose an in-person or remote career enhancement program, you can be assured that the WorldStrides team will identify a meaningful work experience that aligns with your career goals. As a part of the application process, each student has a personalized advising session with a Career Advisor who helps them reflect on their goals for the internship and articulate these goals in their cover letter. Our on-site placement teams have more than 15 years of experience in matching college students with companies that help them develop in-demand, industry-specific skills and mentor them throughout the process. Cultural Experiences No matter which ISA Internship you choose, you will have the opportunity to explore the culture and meet locals abroad. In-person internships include guided excursions and cultural activities designed to enhance your overall experience in your host community. Global Remote Internships provide a range of resources for students to learn more about their host company’s country and culture, such as the cross-cultural toolbox email series, professional development resources, and a pre-program orientation. Career Readiness As part of the SkillSurvey’s Career Readiness Project, the ISA Career Readiness Course is designed based on National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) 8 core competencies. Before and after your internship, you will be assessed based on these career readiness competencies so you can review your progress over the course of your internship. Academic Component with Clear Learning Outcomes Most of our career exploration programs provide the opportunity to earn academic credit to apply towards graduation. This optional academic course provides a framework to reflect on and analyze career goals and transferable skill development. Options for All Students We are proud to provide internship programs that make international experience and education accessible for all. Our Global Remote Internships offer an equally immersive option for students seeking budget-friendly experiences, have obligations at home, or are not able to leave the country. With some 8-week programs priced under $5,000, participants have access to a meaningful, in-person, international learning experience at a lower cost than a number of other education abroad options.
